The company’s pair of Dallas radio stations (WBAP-AM and KLIF-AM) snared multiple awards in the 2016 Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Contest. WBAP captured 1st Place for Spot News by a Station for its coverage of the July 7 Police Ambush. WBAP also received an Honorable Mention for Continuing Coverage of the July 7th Police Ambush. For the third consecutive year, KLIF’s Dave Williams and Amy Chodroff won 1st Place for News Anchor/Anchor Team. And WBAP’s Brian Estridge received 1st Place for Sports Play-by-Play. All this was achieved from a pool of 47 competing stations submitting 788 entries.
