Kathy Brown is the new PD for Cumulus’ Urban radio stations WWWZ-FM and WMGL-FM, in Charleston, SC. Brown joins Cumulus from iHeart Media-St. Louis, where she was PD of Urban station KMJM and Gospel station KATZ-AM. She replaces Terry Base. She was previously Assistant Program Director at CBS Radio-Atlanta’s Urban station WVEE.
Prior to that, Brown was Operations Manager for Radio One’s WWIN-AM/FM, WERQ, and WOLB in Baltimore and became Regional Program Director during her 14-year tenure, serving Urban AC stations in markets including Washington, Richmond, and Baltimore, as well as Augusta, Detroit, and Los Angeles.
