The 2017 Ward L. Quaal Leadership Awards, presented by the Broadcasters Foundation of America, will be handed out at the foundation’s annual breakfast April 26, during the NAB Show in Las Vegas. NAB Executive Vice President of Radio John David and Patrick Communications Managing Partner Larry Patrick will be two of the award winners.
The Leadership Awards are given annually by the Broadcasters Foundation in recognition of career contributions to the broadcast industry and the community at large, and are named in honor of broadcaster Ward L. Quaal.
The other 2017 award winners are Harry Jessell, Editor and Co-Publisher, TVNewscheck and NetNewscheck; David Lougee, President, TEGNA Media; Diane Sutter, President & CEO, Shooting Star Broadcasting; and, Scott Knight & the Knight Family, President & CEO, Knight Media Group.
William Duhamel, President, Duhamel Broadcasting Enterprises, will be honored with the 2017 Broadcasters Foundation of America Chairman’s Award for his contributions to the broadcast industry and his community.
